For those of you who missed it, Congressman Jeb Hensarling gave a stirring speech to the assembled grassroots activists at the Conservative Political Action Conference yesterday. He once again spoke about the three greatest threats facing our civilization: radical Islam, the unfettered growth of the federal government, and the failure to protect religious liberty. He talked about some of the strides that have been made on these fronts DESPITE the best efforts of the Democrats in Congress.

But he didn't stop there. The main thrust of his speech dealt with the challenges and threats facing those of us in the conservative movement - those things which most threaten to undermine our efforts to reclaim the majority in Congress and to once again deserve the trust of the American people. He spoke about illegal immigration, profligate spending, and the importance of trade. He acknowledged the divisions within our ranks on these hot-button issues, and he warned that a failure to address them will tear us apart and leave us in the political wilderness for the foreseeable future.
