Various Polls Show Low Approval Numbers for Democrat Led CongressThe Democrat-led US Congress is experiencing very low approval numbers, according to four major polls. In a comparsion of political polls by Real Clear Politics, congress showed lower approval numbers than President George W. Bush. Real Clear Politics shows that between March 3 and March 19, 21% of the respondents approved of the performance of the US Congress while 69.8% disapproved. Fox News/Opinion Dynamics revealed in a survey conducted March 18-19 that only 20% of those polled had a favorable opinion of congress, while 67% said they disapproved of congressional performance. Meanwhile, an NBC/Wall Street Journal poll showed that between March 7-10 a mere 19% approved and 69% disapproved of the US Congress. And Gallup's most recent survey (March 16-18) showed 21% approval and 69% disapproval by respondents.
