HCF Issues Final Round of EndorsementsWednesday, September 27, 2006 WASHINGTON, DC - With a little more than a month remaining before the November 7th Elections, the House Conservatives Fund (HCF) has endorsed six more conservative candidates in key races across the country. Wisconsin State Speaker of the House John Gard, the Republican nominee in Wisconsin's Eighth Congressional District; Arizona State Representative Randy Graf of Arizona's Eighth Congressional District, who is seeking to succeed Congressman Sherwood Jim Kolbe; Tennessee State Senator David Davis of Tennessee's First Congressional District; and Vern Buchanan, who is seeking to succeed Congresswoman Catherine Harris in Florida's 13th District are the latest open seat candidates to earn endorsements from the PAC that represents the 110 Members of the Republican Study Committee. Chris Wakim, who is challenging Congressman Allen Mollohan, is the fifth challenger to receive an endorsement from the HCF. He is seeking to replace one of the Democrats' best examples of the "Culture of Corruption" that they are so quick to attribute to Republicans. With these four open seat candidates and one challenger, the House Conservatives Fund has now supported eighteen candidates this year. "It takes a truly principled individual to come to Washington and to remain committed to the ideals of limiting government spending, cutting taxes and taking a firm stand in support of traditional values," said Congressman Tom Feeney. "Each of these candidates represents that kind of principled leadership - and we need more people like them in Congress. We are looking forward to welcoming them to our ranks." The House Conservatives Fund is a non-connected federal PAC supported by the members of the Republican Study Committee. They are dedicated to the identification and support of candidates who demonstrate a commitment to economic and social conservative issues. HCF advocates fiscal responsibility, limited government intrusion into the private sector, strong defense, and traditional family values.
