House Conservative Fund now 3-for-3 with Adrian Smith's Win in NebraskaWednesday, May 10, 2006 Back-to-Back Wins in Ohio and Nebraska Open Seats WASHINGTON, DC - On Tuesday, May 2nd, the House Conservatives Fund (HCF) recorded its second win of the 2006 primary season with State Senator Jim Jordan's victory in Ohio's 4th Congressional District. Yesterday, HCF celebrated its third win in as many races, as Nebraska State Senator Adrian Smith claimed the Republican nomination in Nebraska's 3rd Congressional District. The House Conservative Fund's first win came on October 4th, when Congressman John Campbell won the Republican primary for California's 48th Congressional District. He then went on to win the seat handily in the special election that followed. In each of these races, the House Conservatives Fund endorsed candidates despite crowded primary fields. This reflects Chairman Tom Feeneyâs comments upon taking on the role of chairman: "We are the only PAC whose mission is specifically to elect more conservative Republicans to the U.S. House and we have some very talented candidates to go out and support this year. Our job now is to help them win." House conservatives are pleased with these victories, as the nominees have proven records of support for limited government, decreased tax burdens, and traditional family values. In each case, the nominees are favored to win election in November. "We look forward to welcoming Adrian Smith and Jim Jordan when they join us here in Washington," said Feeney. Up next for the House Conservatives Fund is the May 23rd primary for Idaho's First Congressional District. State Representative Bill Sali has been endorsed by HCF and other national conservative organizations in a six-way primary that will determine the ideological leaning of this traditionally staunch conservative district. The House Conservatives Fund is a non-connected federal PAC supported by the members of the Republican Study Committee. They are dedicated to the identification and support of candidates who demonstrate a commitment to economic and social conservative issues. HCF advocates fiscal responsibility, limited government intrusion into the private sector, strong defense, and traditional family values. In addition to offering direct support of candidates, the HCF will encourage other conservative organizations and the members of the Republican Study Committee to join them in endorsing and contributing to conservatives in key races across the country.
