WASHINGTON, DC - One year after Congressman Tom Feeney assumed the chairmanship of the House Conservatives Fund (HCF), the election results confirm that HCF is off to a very strong start. With a stated goal of identifying and supporting conservative candidates in Republican primaries and general elections, the Fund had a number of reasons to celebrate on election night.

The most noteworthy outcome for the House Conservatives Fund was the success of all five candidates who won their respective primaries with the endorsement of the HCF. Congressmen-Elect Jim Jordan (OH-4), Doug Lamborn (CO-5), Bill Sali (ID-1) and Adrian Smith (NE-3) all emerged victorious on election night, keeping these seats in Republican hands despite the anti-Republican atmosphere. Congressman John Campbell (CA-48), who was endorsed by the HCF in his primary and his special election last year, was also re-elected. These are seen as especially important victories for the House Conservatives Fund, as one of the primary objectives of the Fund is to ensure that Republican primaries are won by fiscal and social conservatives.

And these were not the only wins enjoyed by the House Conservatives Fund on election night. Nine of the thirteen newly-elected Republicans were endorsed by the House Conservatives Fund, an indication of those candidates' commitments to traditional Republican ideals - decreased spending, limited government, and family values. With the help of the HCF, the new class of Republican Members will reflect a more conservative approach toward legislation.

According to House Conservatives Fund Chairman Tom Feeney, "We're proud of all of our endorsed candidates, win or lose, but our nine endorsed winners represent real success for our efforts to bring more conservatives to Congress. With relatively few conservative losses and a conservative majority among incoming Republicans, conservatives will represent the 'majority of the minorit'' in the next Congress. We will continue to oppose big government, rampant spending, and 'politics as usual.' Tuesday's results underscore the importance of our efforts - regardless of who holds the majority."

The House Conservatives Fund is a non-connected federal PAC supported by the members of the Republican Study Committee. They are dedicated to the identification and support of candidates who demonstrate a commitment to economic and social conservative issues. HCF advocates fiscal responsibility, limited government intrusion into the private sector, strong defense, and traditional family values.
